Since 2022, Uniprix has donated close to half a million1 dollars to the Montreal Cancer Institute, thanks namely to your donations and the involvement of our partners, in order to make a difference in the lives of people battling cancer and to give researchers the means to beat the disease.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Quebec3 and the second leading cause worldwide4.
This means that millions of children, adults and seniors, regardless of their social status, will have their lives disrupted by the disease.

Research at the Institute
The researchers who are members of the Institute focus on cancers of epithelial origin, which include most solid tumors, such as ovarian cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer.
Vaccine against cancer
Did you know that researchers who are members of the Montreal Cancer Institute are working on a vaccine against cancer? This vaccine would provide effective immunization against the disease.

How are donations used?
Financial contributions are distributed to member researchers of the Institute to:
- Support research projects
- Invest in state-of-the-art equipment
- Award scholarships
- Organize and fund scientific conferences and training workshops

* From October 3 to 23, 2024, Uniprix will donate an amount per product sold from participating brands to the Montreal Cancer Institute, up to a maximum of $60,000. The amount donated per item varies.
